Interview with Krishna Bose at the Netaji research Bureau in Kolkata for a doco about the women’s unit of the Indian National Army. In 1942, the Rani of Jhansi Unit joined their men to battle the Brits in Burma. They aligned with the Japanese, in the hope that victory over the Burmese border would turn the tide against British rule in India. It was a great privilege to meet some of the amazing women who took part in that push, now in their eighties.
