Based in Aotearoa New Zealand, but with a global canvas, Little Cracker tells fearless, authentic stories that otherwise wouldn’t be heard.

Little Cracker was originally conceived by Marilyn McFadyen in Singapore, which
provided her base as a documentary maker for twelve years.

To call someone a little cracker is to pay a very Kiwi compliment, with our characteristic mix of pride and modesty. A cracker is a firework that creates a loud bang and a bright light, made even brighter by coming from an unassuming source.

The name encapsulates the Kiwi reputation for punching above our weight, using limited resources to make a big impact. As such we tread the line between humble and loud, a small voice with a deafening shout.
